Aftercare

Your sculpture should last for many years, but to prolong its life if kept outside, you should spray it with a breathable wood preserve, or a 70/30 mix of boiled linseed oil and turpentine at least twice a year when the sculpture is dry.

How long your willow sculpture lasts will also depend on a few factions such as the weather, and the density of the weave (denser the weave the longer it will last). If placed in a damp area it will not last as well as in full sun. Bringing the item inside for winter can help to lengthen its lifespan.

Restoration

From time-to-time your willow sculptures may need a spruce up due to extreme weather conditions that have occurred, or they have not been sprayed regularly. I offer a restoration service from my chapel at £40 per hour to restore them to their former glory.
